The Matapalo Foundation's creation was inspired by the belief that mankind's future can be bettered by the broadening of the minds and spirits of children and adults alike. The ultimate goal of the Foundation is to foster tolerance and understanding through contact with others in an environment of collaboration and trust. Our wish is to create an oasis of peaceful beauty, a place to return to the experience of nature in its pristine state. We are a community-based project, located on 500 hectares of privately owned rainforest. Our objectives are not just about returning the environment to its natural state, we want to bring the entire region back to life.
