Mission Statement

We do many different things at AWSR. Our first priority is getting lovable White Shepherds out of situations where they don't belong (being in the shelters, or being strays) and find them new, loving homes. We also help to find homes for Shepherds whose original families can no longer keep them. All dogs that come through our rescue are given all their shots, spayed/neutered, tested for heartworms, and given much love and attention before going on to new homes. We screen our potential adopters carefully, to avoid having our dogs end up in another bad situation. We make a lifetime commitment to each dog we take inm making sure it gets the best life he or she can. We are also available for consultations on behavior and training. We urge pet owners to particpate in many dog related activities such as agility, schutzhund, SAR, and therapy work. We are always excited to help you find an activity that will suit both you and your dog!
