The richmond chapter of the juvenile diabetes foundation is focused on fundraising activities to raise money for the research to find a cure for diabetes. Locally, board development and securing corporate support are also initiatives. Unlike any other non-profit organization 84% of the funds raised goes back into research. Currently the major fundraising activity is the walk to cure diabetes, which will be held on sat., Sept. 23rd this year.
