Mission Statement

The Chicago Humanities Festival connects people to the ideas that shape and define us, and promotes the lifelong exploration of what it means to be human. CHF fosters curiosity, celebrates creativity, explores the boundaries of contemporary knowledge and culture, and challenges us to see ourselves and the world anew.

Description

The Chicago Humanities Festival would not be possible without dedicated volunteers who work to create an organized and pleasant atmosphere at every program. We invite you to work alongside leading thinkers and performers, share your passion for the humanities, and help bring outstanding cultural programming to your community by volunteering! Each year the Festival needs over 200 volunteers to greet and usher patrons, manage crowds, and sell tickets at Festival events. Help support the Chicago Humanities Festival by volunteering and receive free Festival tickets!

David Carrasquillo, Audience Services Manager, at volunteer@chicagohumanities.org.

Chicago Humanities Festival fall dates: October 22-December 9 (some weekends and some weeknights)

All volunteers receive complimentary festival tickets-two tickets for every completed shift with a maximum reward of eight tickets. Volunteers are discouraged from selecting shifts for events they wish to see. Instead, we recommend using your complimentary tickets on your favorite events.
