Mission Statement

Dedicated to the preservation of the area's architectural legacy. As both a Public Development Authority and Charitable Foundation, we are a major advocate for, and participant in, the thoughtful and meaningful preservation and rehabilitation of historic buildings, landscapes, and architectural artifacts.

Description

In addition to preservation and rehabilitation of historic buildings, landscapes and architectural artifacts, we develop and deliver educational programs designed to raise awareness of Seattle and King County's architectural heritage. Participation in Historic Seattle's events and programs give the opportunity to make an important contribution towards preserving our community and our historic architectural heritage in these times of rapid change.
