Mission Statement

It is our mission to serve others by helping to instill values in young people and, in other ways, to prepare them to make ethical choices during their lifetime in achieving their full potential. The values we strive to instill are based on those found in the Scout Oath and Law.

The Cherokee Area Council consists of 11 counties in the Southeast Tennessee and Northwest Georgia geographic region and is centered in Chattanooga, TN. Last year, the council served over 6,500 youth and 2,000 volunteer adults through partnerships with over 200 churches and community organizations.
