Mission Statement

Habitat for Humanity seeks to eliminate poverty housing in the world and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action by working in partnership with God and people everywhere by building and renovating houses so that there are decent houses in decent communities in which people live and grow into all that God intended.

Description

Habitat provides home ownership opportunities to low income people who are unable to purchase homes through conventional methods or government assisted programs. Habitat affiliates grow from the grass-roots concern of citizens within their community. A volunteer board of directors works with committees who are responsible for selecting applicants, construction, fund raising, site selection and more.
