Mission Statement

Dear Asian Youth (DAY) is an international non-profit organization that is dedicated to uplift and empower young Asians. Through digital media, grassroots initiatives and leadership programs, we advocate for equity, intersectional solidarity, and social change. At its core, our mission is to amplify underrepresented voices. We recognize that Asian identity isn’t one-size-fits-all, it’s complex, diverse, and deeply intersectional. That’s why we’re here: to share our stories, challenge global narratives, and create space for every experience.

Description

Through storytelling, education, and activism, DAY empowers young Asians worldwide. Here’s how we create impact: Advocacy & Community Building: A global platform for activism and leadership, Dear Asian Generation Podcast: Conversations on identity, culture, and activism through Asian perspectives and Creative Publications: 400+ essays, poems, and zines celebrating diverse Asian voices.

Founded in 2020 by Stephanie Hu, DAY has grown into a global network. Under Executive Director Saoud Moon and VP Parveen Mundi, we now have: 200+ team members across 10+ countries and 100+ chapters leading local initiatives and 90,000+ followers sharing stories and sparking change
