Mission Statement
The overpopulation and suffering of homeless cats in our society demands a humane solution. Feral cat Foundation (FCF) accepts the challenge to promotes public recognition of this problem, to pursue workable solutions and, without euthanasia, to humanely reduce the population while improving the quality of life for these innocent victims of human neglect.
Description
FCF was created in 1997, as an offshoot of another organization. We work in Alameda and Contra Costa counties, primarily trapping, spaying, and neutering cats living in parking lots, apartment complexes, shopping centers. Anywhere cats are living that is dangerous to their well-being. We routinely TNR (trap, neuter, release) between 1,800 and 2,000 cats a year. We pull kittens born in these colonies, socialize them, and adopt them to forever, indoor only homes. We are passionate about our mission statement, and work very hard to reduce the homeless cat population.
