Mission Statement
The Camp Dallas mission is to guide hearts to healing through the power of nature. We embrace the outdoors as a catalyst for mental wellness, nurturing resilience and hope in every individual we serve. A Camp with a Deeper Reason We didn’t start Camp Dallas because we love campfires and kayaks. We started it because we lost someone we loved. Dallas was a thoughtful, curious, beautiful soul who left this world too soon. His parents, still holding the weight of that loss, chose to carry his name forward--not just in memory, but in motion. We don’t see Camp Dallas as a program. We see it as a promise: That every individual has a chance to thrive no matter what their upbringing or family situation, life experience may be. That no one should feel like they’re too far gone, too invisible, to burdened, to small. or too hard to love.
Description
What Makes Camp Dallas Different
We won’t claim to be the biggest, boldest camp out there.
What sets Camp Dallas apart-and what you’ll feel in every moment...
Built from heartbreak. Powered by love.
Camp Dallas exists because a family refused to let pain win.
Presence over programming.
It’s not just what we do. It’s how we show up for every camper that we host.
Real trust, not forced talk.
Some individuals will open up by the campfire, some on a nature hike and some over a fish they never wanted to touch. Some never say a word. All of it is okay.
Not a break from real life-a glimpse of what life could be.
For many, Camp Dallas is the first time the world will make sense and our hope is that they can carry this through their entire life.
