Heartland Cycling Development enables youth development by providing leadership, support, and experiences to learn life skills through the life-long sport of cycling, allowing youth to strengthen the body, mind, and character by participating in an experience that is inclusive and equal.
Description
Create a fun environment that promotes well-being by being outdoors, active, and connected to a positive community through the life-long activity of cycling.
Activities include programs for young cyclists under 5th grade, from 5th grade to 12th grade, and junior cyclists up to age 23. HCD provides support to National Interscholastic Cycling Association teams as well as certified coaching and support for all ages up to 23 years old. While the focus is cycling, the ultimate goal is to teach the value of an active lifestyle, resilience, teamwork, community service, and life skills that can be applied to all aspects of a young student-athletes life.
