Description
Sustainable Beekeeping and Human Development (SuBeHuDe) is a grassroots non-governmental, nonprofit-sharing and VIO established by a group of young sustainable development practivists registered on 20 th Nov, 2015 with Registration No. 00NGO/08296 - under Tanzania NGO Act No. 24 of 2002.
Specific Goals:
- To educate and create awareness on economic and environmental sustainability.
- To improve the economic well-being and quality of life for communities.
- To facilitate ecosystem restoration and improve the natural environment.
Our Activities:
sustainable beekeeping practices and beekeeping value chain development, regenerative agriculture, ecosystems restoration, social enterprises and social entrepreneurship development, promoting access to inclusive quality education, basic healthcare, WASH improvement, and community capacity building for them to be equipped with the tools to break the cycle of abject poverty.
Since its founding, SuBeHuDe has trained over 20,000 community members, created 100,000 greener jobs and decent work opportunities for youth and women, and restored more than 18,000 hectares of degraded land - proving that local leadership and sustainable practices can transform lives and landscapes.
