Be the star behind the TAIWANfest stage! Stage Managers work closely with our staff, emcees, and performers to bring a spectacular live show to our audiences. Ensure the programming goes to schedule and adapt to changes during the festival. Practise communication skills and be a part of the festival with the best view of the stage. Key Responsibilities: Learn festival programming and stage tech riders prior to the festival Check in with staff and artists backstage and ensure scheduled programming runs smoothly Communicate with performers, technicians, emcees, and staff throughout the scheduled programming Help set up the stage where needed Required Qualifications: Excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly attitude. Commitment to attending orientation sessions prior to the festival and at least one whole day of the festival. Ability to speak a second language is an asset. Be a leader at TAIWANfest! Take on a proactive role at the festival by leading fellow volunteers and ensuring the event runs smoothly. Work closely with the core staff and get an inside look into the behind-the-scenes of a cultural festival. Flex your communication skills and build confidence in leading a dynamic team. Key Responsibilities: Schedule volunteers and assign tasks onsite. Communicate with volunteers and staff throughout the festival. Gain hands-on experience as a Volunteer Graphic Designer with the TAIWANfest Team! Strengthen your skills and bulk up your portfolio with real-world projects for the upcoming festival. Work closely with our design team to create visually stunning materials for the festival and make a meaningful contribution to an event that highlights the contributions of local artists inspired by their cultural heritage. Individuals passionate about graphic design, marketing, and illustration are encouraged to apply and be part of a meaningful cultural event. Key Responsibilities: Design and produce graphics for print and digital media, including posters, social media posts, and website elements. Collaborate with the Design Team to develop cohesive visual branding for TAIWANfest. Illustrate original artwork that reflects the themes and cultural elements of TAIWANFest. Ensure all designs are visually appealing, on-brand, and effectively communicate the project’s message. Communicate efficiently with the Artistic Director and content planners to adjust designs upon feedback. Exhibition Assistants will work closely with staff prior to and throughout the festival to create onsite exhibitions that leave a lasting impression on the audience.
