Mission Statement

Urban Produce Push (UPP)--a transformative initiative, is uniquely positioned to work to address food insecurity in the KC community. UPP seeks to bridge gaps in the food supply chain, partnering with local farmers and food distributors to deliver fresh, nutrient-dense produce directly to food pantries and communities in need across Missouri and Kansas.

Description

UPP utilizes volunteers in urban gardens and farms to help maintain the beds and harvest the fresh produce which will be distributed to a local food pantry or community kitchen. Meeting UPP in the garden the volunteers will spend a couple hours led by a staff member in helping grow and harvest the fresh produce. Join us for one session or come back often. Small groups of 12 or less helps the volunteer be very hands on with the work. Great for families or youth groups or small corporate teams. Join us to help bring healthy fresh produce to our hungry neighbors!
