Mission Statement

Our mission is to care for Lebanon, Virginia’s feral cat colonies through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming whenever possible. We support colony caregivers, educate the public, and collaborate with partners to offer low-cost spay/neuter events, working toward a healthier and more sustainable future for community cats.

Description

CLAWS (Cat Lives Are Worth Saving) is a new 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Lebanon, VA, formed in response to the growing number of community cats and the lack of organized support for both the cats and the residents caring for them. After a new colony formed following a tragic event, we recognized the need to bring existing colony caregivers together and create a more humane, sustainable solution. Today, CLAWS provides Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), colony care, and public education to improve life for both cats and our community.
