Mission Statement
The African Women for Change Network (AfNet) is dedicated to empowering women leaders globally through education, advocacy, and community development initiatives in creating positive change within their communities.
Description
AfNet is a nonprofit organization committed to empowering women and advancing gender equity through leadership, education, advocacy, and community-driven initiatives. Rooted in the belief that women are key to sustainable development, AfNet supports women and girls-particularly those of African descent-by equipping them with the tools, knowledge, and platforms to lead change in their communities.
AfNet provides leadership training, mentorship, and capacity-building programs to strengthen the voices and impact of women leaders. The organization fosters collaboration among grassroots activists, nonprofit leaders, entrepreneurs, and advocates, creating a global network of changemakers united in the pursuit of justice and equality.
Through culturally relevant and inclusive programming, AfNet addresses systemic barriers and uplifts community-led solutions in areas such as education, health, economic empowerment, and civic engagement. AfNet also hosts conferences and advocacy events that amplify women’s voices and influence policy at local and global levels.
