Role Description The Development Team Coordinator oversees the planning, creation and execution of strategies to secure funding, build donor relationships, and promote Big Break’s mission. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, on budget, and are aligned with organizational and mission objectives. Anticipated commitment is 5-7 hours per week. Responsibilities Plan and oversee the execution of a development strategy from concept to completion, ensuring alignment within and across teams. Identify and develop opportunities for fundraising and supporter engagement (e.g., donors, community members, stakeholders). Develop project timelines, assign tasks, and ensure deliverables meet deadlines and quality standards. Monitor progress of projects, troubleshoot issues, and provide updates to Big Break leadership and team members. Optimize production workflows to improve efficiency and effectiveness within the marketing team. Qualifications Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of nonprofit development strategies. Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to managing challenges. Passion for promoting inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility in the Location-Based Experience industry. This is a professional volunteer position with an anticipated commitment of 5-7 hours per week. Role Description As a Volunteer Coordinator, you will be responsible for matching volunteers with appropriate roles, leading onboarding processes, and coordinating assignments and opportunities for engagement. Anticipated commitment is 2-5 hours per week. Responsibilities Collaborate with the team on the development of volunteer program processes, including onboarding, training and retention. Manage the volunteer recruitment process, including screening applicants, conducting interviews, and managing the onboarding process. Help develop and maintain strong relationships with volunteers. Ensure their needs are being met and that they are satisfied with their experience. Regularly communicate with volunteers to ensure that they are informed about upcoming events, initiatives, and other opportunities to get involved. Work closely with the team to plan and execute volunteer appreciation events and other recognition programs. Maintain accurate and up-to-date volunteer records, including contact information and feedback. Qualifications Strong organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A passion for diversity, inclusion, equity and accessibility. Ability to work with a diverse range of volunteers and stakeholders. Role Description The Website Administrator will be responsible for updating, designing, and maintaining the Big Break Foundation website on the back-end and front-end, ensuring usability and performance across browsers and devices. Anticipated commitment of 2-5 hours per week. Responsibilities Update and maintain Big Break’s website using Wix, ensuring all content is accurate, up to date, and responsive across desktop and mobile. Build new pages and content as needed, including dynamic pages and CMS collections. Conduct testing to identify and fix technical issues across browsers and devices. Collaborate with the Art Director/Graphic Designer to ensure consistency in branding and design across all web content. Monitor website traffic and performance and generate reports for the Marketing & Communications team. Optimize website SEO for search engine visibility. Maintain and optimize website accessibility through image alt text, appropriate color contrast, correct tagging, and more. As needed, recommend and implement improvements to the website design, functionality, and user experience. Qualifications A passion for diversity, inclusion, equity, and accessibility. Experience maintaining and designing websites via Wix, or related software. Ability to work with and customize content management systems. Strong attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and consistency of website content. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities Assist with research related to IDEA. Includes identifying, evaluating, annotating and synthesizing reputable resources. Review and verify the accuracy of Big Break’s reports, articles, presentations, and beyond. Streamline and manage Big Break’s resource database. Regularly update the database to include new materials and remove outdated content, ensuring it remains a reliable and current resource. Curate a diverse collection of IDEA resources for the location-based experience industry (e.g., insights, reports, toolkits). Work closely with other teams to provide research support and ensure accuracy across all public channels of communication. Qualifications Experience in fact-checking, research, investigative journalism, or a related role. Attention to detail, with a strong commitment to accuracy and clarity. Proficiency in using research databases, public records, and open-source collections. Ability to accurately interpret and analyze data. Passion for promoting inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility in the Location-Based Experience industry. The ideal candidate is passionate about disability inclusion and knowledgeable about accessibility best practices. Anticipated commitment is 3-5 hours per week. Responsibilities Evaluate and improve the accessibility of Big Break’s programs, resources and digital platforms, ensuring compliance with ADA, WCAG, and other relevant standards. Develop and remediate materials for accessibility (e.g., alternative text, transcripts, and screen reader-accessible documents). Provide training and resources to staff, volunteers, and partners on best practices for accessibility in digital and built environments. Assist in arranging accommodations such as sign language interpretation, captioning, assistive technologies, and alternative formats for content. Stay informed about evolving accessibility laws, best practices, and technologies. Support the development of Big Break’s accessibility policies and guidelines. Qualifications Experience in accessibility coordination, disability advocacy, or related field. Experience conducting accessibility audits and implementing accessibility solutions.
