Mission Statement
Bear Valley Protection Society (BVPS) is a 501c3 nonprofit and is dedicated to preserving, restoring, and protecting the ecological integrity of the San Bernardino National Forest and surrounding communities. Through reforestation, habitat restoration, wildfire mitigation, and environmental education, we work to ensure the long-term health and resilience of our natural landscapes. By mobilizing volunteers, securing sustainable resources, and implementing innovative conservation strategies, we strive to revitalize fire-damaged ecosystems through reforestation and removal of invasive plant species, cleaning illegal dumpsites, trail maintenance, proper OHV training, and educating the public on environmental issues to foster a deep-rooted commitment to environmental stewardship. BVPS envisions a thriving forest where biodiversity flourishes, watersheds remain stable, and future generations can experience the beauty and benefits of a healthy environment.
