Mission Statement
Friends of Dialysis (hereinafter "FOD") exists to create a sense of welcome and belonging within a sincere and comforting environment for dialysis patients and the community.
Description
Dialysis patients endure long hours of treatments multiple times a week, which is a very draining process for the individual undergoing the dialysis treatment as well as their family members. We seek to provide a sense of empathy & community support. We offer volunteers the opportunity to volunteer at dialysis facilities to provide patients companionship, we community members to start chapters, and the opportunity to participate in our Kidney Health Education Program.
