Somerset Pet Welfare Alliance (SPWA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to reducing pet overpopulation in Somerset County, Maine. We provide financial assistance to help local residents afford spay and neuter services for their cats and dogs. Our work focuses on prevention-keeping unwanted litters out of shelters and helping pet owners care responsibly for their animals, regardless of income.

SPWA is currently a one-person grassroots effort, powered by community donations, fundraising events, and local partnerships. We’re seeking volunteers who are passionate about animal welfare, community impact, and building sustainable change from the ground up.
