Mission Statement

The mission of CoNectar, a 501(c)(3) public benefit corporation, is to connect all communities to multi-sensory "flora-to-table" education, creating curricula and providing programs that demonstrate the key role pollinators play in food systems and our broader ecology.

Description

CoNectar is a hub for food, art, and science geared toward teaching the Pittsburgh area community about the vital ecological role played by pollinating species. We offer multi-sensory classes, workshops and bioforays free to the public that enlighten participants about the seasonal cycles of pollinators and flowering plants. We hope to expand our offerings in the coming year to provide a teaching cafe with a menu tied to lessons about pollinator ecology.
