2025 Graand Kinetic Social Media & Web Coordinator

Since 1993, the Graand Kinetic Challenge has been held on the 3rd weekend of July in Corvallis, Oregon. This fabulous event hosts teams from up and down the West Coast. Putting on this iconic event is no small feat and involves the contributions of a small army of volunteers. This position is for the well-organized individual who can help us get the message out to the public at large to pull it all off. The social media & web coordinator will work with our volunteer planning committee to put together regularly scheduled social media posts and help us generate new content as we migrate our website to WordPress. You will work with our in-person marketing gurus to put out the word for spectators, racers, and volunteers. Planning meetings are held bi-weekly in various locations around Corvallis but virtual attendance is ok. We hope you will join us to help keep this Corvallis institution going!

Putting on this iconic event is no small feat and involves the contributions of a small army of volunteers. This position is for the well-organized individual who can help us manage that army. This is critical and much appreciated work - but you won't be alone. Our committee has experience across all aspects of the race and they will be ready to help absolutely whenever needed. The daVinci Days Graand Kinetic Challenge Emcees or "Masters of Ceremonies" play an important role and set the tone of the event at various locations throughout the weekend. The Emcees represent da Vinci Days’ Graand Kinetic Challenge, a family-oriented event. All commentary should be G-rated, non-religious, non-political, and non-discriminatory in content. The primary focus is to help foster a fun atmosphere for racers, spectators, and volunteers and to provide appropriate race-related information to spectators and racers. If you're quick on your feet and can provide live commentary on the fly (and have a lot of fun) - this might be the volunteer position for you! We would expect you to attend some of our planning meetings however that can be done virtually. We hope you will join us to help keep this Corvallis institution going!

2025 Graand Kinetic Volunteer Coordinator

Since 1993, the Graand Kinetic Challenge has been held on the 3rd weekend of July in Corvallis, Oregon. This fabulous event hosts teams from up and down the West Coast. Putting on this iconic event is no small feat and involves the contributions of a small army of volunteers. This position is for the well-organized individual who can help us manage that army. This is critical and much appreciated work - but you won't be alone. Our committee has experience across all aspects of the race and they will be ready to help absolutely whenever needed. The volunteer coordinator will work with our site coordinators to ensure that their staffing needs are met after putting together a comprehensive assessment of days, sites, and skills required (with our help). You will work with our marketing gurus to put out the word and collect volunteers through SignUpGenius. Manage communication with our army of volunteers to make sure that they stay engaged, show up, and know where to go and what to do. Planning meetings are held bi-weekly in various locations around Corvallis but virtual attendance at those is ok. The race event itself happens July 19th and 20th where it is all hands on deck at locations including Avery Park, Crystal Lake Park, Waterfront Park, Michael's Landing, and the Benton County Fairgrounds.

da Vinci Days' GRAAND KINETIC CHALLENGE happens (with your help) every 3rd weekend in July! For the Fun Of It! Join our race of human-powered, pedal-pushed, kinetic art sculpture vehicles as they challenge their art & engineering talents to move their machines over land, sand, mud, and water during the 2-day event.
