Description

About TMSK: There’s More Soup Kitchens is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with a mission to love our community well by serving healthy, nutritious food for all, regardless of means. We aim to create a welcoming space where individuals can gather for nourishing meals and meaningful connections. We plan to operate with both a pay-what-you-can brick-and-mortar restaurant and food truck in Atlanta, GA. Through this model, we will be able to provide nourishing meals to individuals facing food insecurity while building community.
How will the pay-what-you-can model operate? The menu board will have suggested prices. If those prices are too high, one can lower it down to a minimum of $3 for their meal. If $3 is too high, customers are welcome to volunteer 30 minutes for their meal. We will offer opportunities for individuals to volunteer within our operations and across other nonprofits in the Atlanta area. BE KIND! cards will allow individuals to pay-it-forward toward their neighbors. BE KIND! cards can be redeemed for a meal and drink/pastry.
Why 'BE KIND!' cards? At There’s More, we value kindness. Our founder, Tomaiya wanted to ensure that we don’t forget that we are supposed to be kind to our neighbors. It is something that she works on daily and wants to encourage her community to do the same. Love is what connects us to each other, and kindness is a huge part of that.
