Mission Statement
Our mission is threefold: (1) to shape political thought and discourse through educational campaigns and community engagement, (2) to build infrastructure that supports youth in running for office, organizing locally, and leading with bold progressive values, and (3) to increase electoral wins and representation by helping progressive candidates fundraise, get out the vote, and craft effective platforms. We believe that to shift the political landscape, young people must not only be informed--they must be organized, resourced, and empowered to lead.
Description
Moving Forward is a dynamic, dominantly youth-led political network and think tank committed to mobilizing young people around Ecosocialist, leftist, and/or Green-aligned values. We exist to unify and empower a new generation of progressive thinkers, organizers, and activists who are dedicated to advancing environmental justice, social equity, and grassroots democracy. While inspired by both Ecosocialist, Leftist and/or Green Party-like principles, Moving Forward operates independently to serve as a bridge between movements-focusing not only on ideology but also on real-world electoral strategy and organizing power.
