We are dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide through constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions. We aim to make adequate housing a matter of conscience and action.
Founded in 1993 Cleveland County Habitat for Humanity is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing in Cleveland County, Oklahoma. On average we build 2-3 homes per year, ensuring that we are able to create a positive, strong foundation upon which families can flourish. We have seen that generational poverty is a cyclical problem that is nearly impossible for families to break alone. That is where we step in! We build simple, affordable homes, offer 0% interest mortgages, and provide financial education to families in need of a stable home. It is through the use of these strategic factors that we hope to offer families the opportunity to thrive. We fund our builds through the kind financial donations and grants of individuals and organizations, as well as through the sale of donated home good's, appliances, furniture and building materials at our ReStore location (1100 W Main Street in Norman, OK).
