We are seeking a creative, strategic, and data-driven Social Media Manager to lead our social media efforts and grow our online community. The ideal candidate is passionate about storytelling, brand voice, and digital engagement-and knows how to turn likes and shares into meaningful connections. Volunteer Job Description: Weekly Email Newsletter Support Position Title: Weekly Email Newsletter Support Volunteer Time Commitment: 2-4 hours per week Overview: The Greater Phoenix Equality Chamber of Commerce is seeking a detail-oriented and creative volunteer to assist with the creation and distribution of our weekly email newsletter. This is a great opportunity to support LGBTQ+ businesses and community initiatives while gaining experience in marketing and communications. Key Responsibilities: Assist in drafting, formatting, and proofreading weekly email newsletters using our email platform (Constant Contact) Curate and organize content including event announcements, member spotlights, community news, and program updates. Design graphics as needed in Canva. Ensure consistent branding, tone, and layout across all newsletters Coordinate with staff for content deadlines and approvals Monitor engagement metrics (opens, clicks, etc.) and suggest improvements for future campaigns Qualifications: Strong written communication skills Basic knowledge of email marketing platforms (experience with Constant Contact a plus) Familiarity with LGBTQ+ community values and events Detail-oriented with good time management skills Ability to work independently and meet weekly deadlines Benefits: Make a meaningful impact in the LGBTQ+ business community Gain hands-on experience in digital marketing and nonprofit communications Network with local business leaders and community members Receive volunteer recognition and a letter of recommendation upon request To Apply: Please email us at admin@equalitychamber.org with a brief statement of interest and any relevant experience. The Greater Phoenix Equality Chamber of Commerce/Equality Chamber Foundation has proudly supported LGBTQ+ businesses and professionals since 1980, working to advance economic opportunity, diversity, and inclusion throughout the region. Our goal is to empower and connect our community through business development, education, and advocacy. From hosting networking mixers and Lunch n Learns to providing technical assistance and our signature Business Boot Camp, we offer programs that uplift entrepreneurs and strengthen our local economy. Our recent achievements include expanding our Drag Performer Coalition, launching new educational initiatives, and launching our Queer Summer and Holiday Markets. Volunteers play a vital role in helping us carry out this work-and we’d love to have you be a part of it.
