The Art Beat Foundation was founded in 2018 by professional dancer Brenna Kuhn with the mission to foster a passion for dance in a joyful, loving, and accepting community through performance, education, and preservation. In pursuit of this mission, Art Beat Foundation works to preserve the great American art form of tap dance and support underserved populations in the Northwest Austin area with inclusive dance classes that dramatically improve the quality of life of those we serve. Our programs include (i) Cancer Survivorship dance classes; (ii) Adaptive Dance for youth with Autism, Down syndrome, and disabilities; (iii) Dance for Parkinson’s classes; (iv) Keep the Beat inclusive dance classes for all ages and ability levels; (v) scholarships for at-risk youth; (vi) tap dance preservation initiatives; and (vii) an annual Art Beat Tap Festival.
