Mission Statement
The Tulsa Warriors Hockey Club (TWHC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting disabled American veterans through the game of recreational ice hockey. Their mission is to organize and promote ice hockey programs that provide therapeutic benefits, foster camaraderie, and aid in the healing process for veterans and individuals with disabilities. By engaging in this fast-paced, team-oriented sport, participants experience physical activity, mental stimulation, and a renewed sense of community.
Description
TWHC operates under the USA Hockey Warrior Hockey Program, which includes teams across the country. The club offers opportunities for disabled veterans, active duty military, people with disabilities, and first responders to participate, regardless of prior hockey or skating experience. With the guidance of a USA Hockey certified coach, newcomers are welcomed and supported in their journey on the ice.
Through their programs, the Tulsa Warriors aim to create an avenue for healing and restoring confidence among honored veterans, embodying the belief that Hockey Heals.
