Mission Statement

Dignity Matters provides free menstrual care and undergarments to 18,000 women and girls across Massachusetts each month. We are the largest nonprofit provider of free menstrual items in the state, and we work with 180 partner organizations to ensure these items are available in hundreds of communities.

Description

Dignity Matters is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides women living in poverty a reliable supply of monthly menstrual care and undergarments so they can learn, work and live with dignity. Menstrual care is expensive, rarely donated, and can't be purchased with SNAP/Food Stamps, WIC, or any other benefit programs. Dignity Matters collects, purchases and distributes 4 million items each year. We are funded 100% by philanthropy, and our small staff relies heavily on volunteers to support every aspect of our work.
