Description

In 2010, UCB obtained a 501 (c)(3) designation as a faith-based organization located in Columbia, Missouri. Several programs and collaborations were then initiated to meet the needs of our community including Community Meal (Free, professionally catered, nutritious meal), Focus on Fatherhood (Fatherhood Initiative Project), UCB Summer Academy (summer youth programming), UCB Academy (Child development center), Transformation (Job readiness training program) and Weekend with The Boys (a mentoring program for young males). In 15 years, UCB has provided services to more than 4,500 people. Today, UCB is building a new 22,500 sf. community center in northeast Columbia which will house an expanded pre-K early education center, a K-6th grade afterschool educational enrichment program, a full high-school sized gymnasium, commercial kitchen, and administrative offices. This center is slated to open in October 2025 and will allow us to serve up to 100 children per day.
