Job Title: Creative Director Location: Remote Position Type: Part-Time, Volunteer, Temporary (6 months), Contract, Senior Level Reports to: CEO About Us In April 2020, a group of strong Christian men began meeting online to encourage, connect, and help one another overcome the vicious attack that the early COVID-19 crisis was making on our mental, relational, and spiritual health. A few years later, this weekly virtual gathering became Men On Purpose, Inc., a bona fide 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that brings light to the world by developing men into influential servant leaders, which we achieve primarily through community (regular virtual gatherings for support, encouragement, relationship-building, and koinonia fellowship), coaching (practical biblical teaching and challenges with high emphasis on application, accountability, and life change), and content (inspiring and impactful digital content for men at all stages of their faith journey). Still a fledgling community reminiscent of the small cloud as a man’s hand seen by the prophet Elijah, we are poised and excited to grow and achieve impact at scale moving forward in our mission " to exert kingdom influence on families, organizations, communities, and the world by empowering men with life-transforming wisdom." Role Overview The Creative Director (CD) provides leadership and strategic direction for both the digital and physical creative needs of our ministry organization. This role is pivotal in shaping our brand identity and creative vision, ensuring that all content effectively communicates our gospel-rooted / kingdom-based messaging, captures the hearts and minds of our audience, and cultivates an active "raving fan base" of current and potential donors, members, volunteers, followers, subscribers and the like. As CD, you will spearhead the creative process, develop imaginative concepts into attractive, consumable content, and present content to the marketplace in a way that maximizes audience engagement and drives organizational growth and impact. Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Growth Director (GD), this collaborative work involves strategically and effectively co-managing all of our digital/communications assets (i.e., website, podcast, social media, e-newsletter, email list, CRM, Zoom recordings, videos, other marketing and branding vehicles, etc.) in tandem to achieve our ministry and organizational goals. Some of the role’s essential goals and KPI at end of term include: Monthly website traffic = 1,500 visitors Total page likes and comments = 6,000 likes and 2,000 comments across all platforms Social media engagement rates = 4.5% Number of new monthly leads = 500 prospects Click-through rate percentage for YouTube channel = 3% increase above channel’s historic average Key Responsibilities Content Strategy: Develop and execute creative strategies for YouTube and other digital content. Expertly and collaboratively ideate, produce, curate, repurpose, schedule, manage, and deliver content aligning with our ministry’s mission and goals. Project Management: Oversee content production calendar, timelines, and workflows, from brainstorming and pre-production to post-production and publication. Vet, oversee, and coordinate with video editors, writers, and other creatives. Brand & Visual Direction: Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines, tone, and visual style. Evolve brand aesthetics as needed to stay relevant and engaging. Audience Engagement: Develop and implement strategies to grow our subscriber and membership base through engaging, relevant content and create a roadmap for free and paid offerings. Support lead generation efforts through targeted market analysis and digital marketing campaigns. Help guide and inform PPC advertising, SEO, web analytics and/or other related methods to drive traffic and engagement. Creative Development: Work with the CEO, GD, and team to brainstorm new content ideas, series, and formats that engage and inspire our audience. Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze content performance metrics (vis-à-vis industry trends, standards, and best practices), providing well-informed insights and recommendations to optimize future content and marketing approaches. Collaboration & Leadership: Guide and mentor current and potential future team members around branding and brand identity, fostering a collaborative, creative environment. Ambassadorship: Serve as a compelling, culture-carrying ambassador, embracing and reflecting our ministry and its core values through every interaction. This includes faithfully representing Christ, MOP, and yourself, whether through live or virtual encounters (e.g., sales calls, networking events, ministry gatherings, church visits, social media engagement, etc.) and positively reflecting and reinforcing the MOP brand in all ways, at all times. General/Other Assist in the planning and execution of weekly online ministry meetings, ensuring smooth logistics and a positive member experience. Regularly attend, support, and engage actively in core ministry events (e.g., #ManhoodMonday sessions, Friday morning prayer calls) as well as occasional special events. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Experience: 5+ years of experience in creative direction, content strategy, organizational development, and/or digital marketing, ideally within faith-based or nonprofit organizations. Content Creation: Proven track record in digital content creation and branding, especially video content on YouTube. Technology: A "tech geek" possessing deep knowledge and familiarity with new and relevant marketing and content creation technologies (e.g., video editing and graphic design software, marketing automation platforms, social media schedulers, web analytics tools, customer relationship management (CRM) platforms, computers and mobile devices, etc.) Leadership: A natural servant leader with a "shepherding disposition" and ability to lead creative projects and collaborate effectively with a remote team. Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written, verbal, graphic/artistic, and digital communication, with the ability to convey ideas clearly and inspire others. Natural storyteller. Passion for Ministry: A heart for men’s ministry and a deep understanding of the Christian faith and community. Working Environment Remote Position: This position allows for flexibility and remote work, but requires a reliable internet connection and the ability to manage responsibilities independently. Part-Time: Approximately 20-25 hours per week, with flexibility in scheduling. Compensation: This volunteer role offers a stipend. The terms of the stipend will be discussed with qualifying candidates during the interview process. Work Duration: This position is Temporary (contracted for 6-month term commitment) with strong potential for becoming a permanent role. In the ideal scenario by the end of the term, the Creative Director’s fit, effectiveness, and productivity are all strong enough to make permanency the clear next step. The CD role also does not currently have any direct reports although we envision for this role to supervise staff and/or lead an internal team in the future. Collaborative Culture: You will work closely with the CEO, GD, and other ministry team members in a collaborative and mission-driven environment. How to Apply We are excited to add someone to our team who shares our vision of serving men through ministry and making a positive impact on our community for the cause of Christ. If you are a faithful disciple and experienced professional who thrives in a dynamic, growing, mission-driven environment, we’d love to hear from you! Please submit your resume, three portfolio samples, and a brief statement or cover letter on what makes you a good fit for this role and why you’re passionate about men’s ministry and digital content.
