Mission Statement
The Tivona Foundation empowers underserved communities locally and globally through education, economic development, and cultural inclusion. We equip youth--especially deaf and marginalized groups--with practical skills like sewing and entrepreneurship to foster self-sufficiency and economic freedom. We support cultural education by showcasing African heritage through fashion, art, and events and exhibhits that promote inclusiveness and pride. By building bridges between Kansas City and African regions, we foster understanding and collaboration. Our sustainable programs give back 100% to the communities we serve, practicing fair trade and long-term impact. From launching a sewing lab in Kenya to supporting Rightfully Sewn in Kansas City and hosting AfroKC, Tivona Foundation is rooted in purpose, community, and transformation.
