Mission Statement

Subtext Studio TC produces new plays that are by, for and about traditionally marginalized communities and peoples in order to express the ideas, voices, and experiences of all people. We amplify these voices to provide a common thread that promotes empathy and understanding between cultures and peoples. We produce bold, innovative new plays to amplify the shared life experiences of humans from a wide range of beliefs, lifestyles and cultures because art has a way of getting through to people the way simple words can’t. We are a Latine-run organization and serve the Latine Community, and our focus is multicultural/inclusive theater that impacts multiple communities.
