Paradiso Perduto Foundation

Paradiso Perduto Foundation is a groundbreaking new initiative established by Civilian Veterans for Civilian Veterans, a diverse and geographically scattered group of professionals who have been, or still are, professionally active in areas of armed conflict and various emergencies around the world. There is little public awareness of the fact that civilian veterans even exist, and that - just like military veterans - they require specialised aftercare. As far as we know, there is no other international organisation that advocates for civilian veterans or that cares for them as a distinct professional group. We made it our mission to address this deep need.

We are a non-profit organisation currently in its seed phase and we are actively seeking motivated individuals who will make up our start-up team. We have spent the past year setting up our administrative and financial infrastructures, paying close attention to good governance. Our efforts in this regard have resulted in the coveted ANBI status, which means we have been officially recognised as a tax-exempt charity.

Our next major goal is to establish a solid online presence. In this regard we are currently working on the development of an overarching communication and fundraising strategy. Our focus will be on forming connections and community, in the form of outreach and interaction with civilian veterans as well as potential partners and stakeholders.
