Mission Statement
Vets and Pets Yoga was founded with a mission to provide veterans and their emotional support animals (ESAs) with the opportunity to heal, connect, and find peace through yoga. Recognizing the unique challenges faced by veterans, as well as the powerful bond between them and their ESAs, our nonprofit organization was created to offer a safe, supportive environment for physical and mental wellness. Since our inception, we’ve focused on bridging the gap between veterans, their animals, and holistic healing practices. This dual-purpose initiative not only supports veterans but also gives animals a second chance at a loving home.
Description
In February 2025, Vets and Pets Yoga proudly celebrated its two-year anniversary.
Vets and Pets Yoga offers a range of free yoga for veterans. These classes are designed to reduce stress, promote healing, and improve mental health in a non-judgmental and inclusive environment. Our sessions are led by certified instructors experienced in mindful resilience trauma-informed yoga.
Additionally, we are proud to announce that we’ve recently opened up applications for our Emotional Support Animal (ESA) program, which pairs veterans with (ESA) to provide ongoing companionship, support, and therapeutic benefits. This program is designed to enhance the mental and emotional well-being of veterans who face challenges such as PTSD, anxiety, and depression.
In just two years, Vets and Pets Yoga has hosted several successful events, including community yoga sessions aimed at fostering wellness for veterans and their ESAs. We have partnered with multiple reputable rescues to host puppy yoga events, helping numerous rescue animals get adopted.
With the launch of our ESA program, we continue to evolve and expand our reach, ensuring that our veterans have the resources they need to lead happier, healthier lives alongside their loyal companions.
