The Emergency Management Agency Volunteer Group (EMAVG) is a community-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing disaster preparedness, response, resilience, and community safety. With the Macon-Bibb Chapter serving as its headquarters, EMAVG fosters collaboration across local chapters, uniting volunteers to serve their communities effectively. EMAVG seeks to mobilize and empower dedicated volunteers to prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies, nonemergency’s, and disasters. Through training, collaboration, and proactive engagement, EMAVG provides vital support and resources to strengthen our community’s ability to withstand and recover from crises.

Emergency Management Agency Volunteer Group (EMAVG)

The Emergency Management Agency Volunteer Group (EMAVG) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting disaster response, emergency preparedness, and public safety in Macon-Bibb County and surrounding areas.

We assist local emergency agencies by providing trained volunteers for disaster relief, emergency operations, and community events like the Cherry Blossom Festival. Our team helps with radio communications, traffic control, logistics, and public education to enhance local preparedness efforts.
