Mission Statement
To provide compassionate one-on-one spiritual care to incarcerated Muslims as a complement to existing services and programs, fostering hope, a renewed connection to faith, achieving personal growth, and positive contributions to society.
Description
When the closure of a community center in 2023 threatened to extinguish the lifeline of hope that the prison ministry program provided, we opted to take on the mantle of providing continued care. Witnessing the positive transformation it brought to its members, we couldn't let that happen. We believe everyone deserves the chance to find hope and purpose; incarcerated individuals often need it most. That’s why we founded this organization.
Our program breaks the cycle, beginning with a letter of hope (hand-written or electronic) from a dedicated mentor in response to the incarcerated individual’s inquiry about the program. We offer the opportunity for weekly telephone calls with spiritual compassion and guidance - a lifeline of kindness and support, completely free of cost to the individual.
To combat the profound sense of separation, monthly video visits are a way to foster connection, reminding the individual that they are seen, heard, and part of a larger community.
