Mission Statement

Visit High Point is the official destination management and marketing organization that positions High Point as a vibrant destination that visitors will enjoy, and locals will want to promote. Our vision is to leverage High Point’s reputation as the Home Furnishings Capital of the World™ and the home of a world-class university to further the evolution of High Point as a unique destination. While the focus is to increase economic impact by providing first-class service to our visitors and meeting planners, Visit High Point also works to develop our city as a year-round destination that is competitive in the marketplace, generating more brand ambassadors and fans. We want each visitor to "make yourself at home" in High Point, NC.

Description

Travelers to the region and Triad residents alike can experience a venue like no other at the Visitor Center. While other visitor’s centers are city-centric, this center proactively offers information for tourist opportunities in neighboring cities and surrounding areas. The Visitor Center displays engage the imagination with innovative interactive touch screens, beautiful photography, videos, music and brochures about tourist attractions.

Furniture shopping is the number one reason visitors come to High Point. To help consumers navigate the more than 100 furniture stores and outlets in High Point and the surrounding area, kiosks at the Visitor Center provide information based on the style and type of furniture carried at each store. Design Access also helps consumers to identify an area interior designer who can help them with everything from a room design plan to access to showrooms that otherwise are closed to the public.
