Mission Statement

A Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) is a member of the community. We specifically train volunteers to advocate in court for the best interests of children who have experienced abuse and neglect. Volunteers are assigned to a child or sibling group for the duration of the case. Our mission is to empower an inclusive group of community volunteers from all walks of life to serve as CASA volunteers. Through legal advocacy, volunteers work to interrupt generational trauma and ensure children are in safe and loving homes.

Description

The program recruits, screens, trains, and supports volunteer advocates. CASA volunteers have been advocating for children in Marion County since 2022. Staff walk alongside volunteers as they serve children, families, and the Marion County Family Court.
