What We Do: The Cedars of Marin offers a high quality of life to persons with developmental disabilities. We are dedicated to fostering independence, defending dignity and realizing each person's full potential. Who We Are: Serving clients with a unique blend of group home living and nationally recognized day programs, The Cedars provides a full continuum of care to adults with special needs.Victory CenterIndividuals in this program explore their creativity in fine art, expressive arts, music and jewelry making. Participants here are working artists. They create gallery-ready portfolios for exhibitions and juried shows throughout California.Textile Art CenterSituated on a 22-acre ranch in San Rafael, CA, Cedars Textile Art Center is home to the Hands and Earth Day Program and Cedars Senior Program.Hands & EarthIn the Hands and Earth Day Program, individuals design their own curriculum from primary program components: textile handcraft, gardening/horticulture, animal husbandry, nutrition/cooking, arts, crafts, music and functional academics. Entrepreneurial business projects are encouraged. Cedars Co-op provides the opportunity for clients to own their own business. Members sell vegetables, handwovens, honey and artisan goods at farmers markets.Senior ProgramCedars Senior Program assists aging adults to maintain independence and stay healthy and active. This program is designed to meet individuals needs and incorporate activities that provide purpose and enjoyment each day.Cedars Residential ServicesA tremendous amount of care goes into helping residents choose where they will live as each home has a unique personality. While most Cedars residents enjoy a private bedroom, some prefer a shared living arrangement. Each Cedars residential program offers a fun-filled life that supports independence and inclusion.
