Description

Over the past 50 years, La Cheim has built a strong continuum of care dedicated to serving vulnerable and marginalized children, adolescents, and adults across Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. Our comprehensive services include a non-public school (NPS), an adult Community Mental Health Center, a therapeutic behavioral services program for youth, and a youth residential treatment center.

At the heart of our success is the exceptional and compassionate team we’ve cultivated. Our staff includes teachers, art therapists, teacher assistants, psychiatrists, psychologists, registered nurses, licensed clinical social workers, marriage and family therapists, and mentors. They are deeply committed to creating transformative experiences for challenging adolescents, while providing a supportive and nurturing community for adults through our Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs. Our programs extend across the greater Alameda and Contra Costa Counties.
