Description
Since 2008, SEEAG has impacted the lives of over 100,00 students and community members 100% free of charge by providing hands-on agricultural experiences via school programs and community events. Our programs include our Farm-to-Food Lab program , a three part educational experience, aligned with 3rd-grade NGSS standards, that includes a field trip to a working farm. Students learn about the food supply chain, the science of growing our food, and its nutritional values and impact on our bodies. Our STEMCareer Pathways in Agricultureprogram offers junior high and high school students hands-on experience in agricultural sciences and explores agricultural career opportunities with them. In 2013, SEEAG founded the Ventura County Farm Day . This event works with local farmers who open their farms to the public offering free educational tours and activities for all ages. This annual event now also runs in Santa Barbara County and has expanded to include our Farm Day Every Day Program, a free monthly community event. We are grateful for all of the individuals and community members who support us.
