Orange Art Association (OAA) Looking for New People We’re looking for artists and people passionate about art to help us grow the Orange Art Association (OAA) and to volunteer on the board, as a committee chair, or on a committee. Our bylaws state that elections shall be held annually. Due to the pandemic, OAA got a little off course and no elections have been held for several years. We're getting back on track and accepting nominations for new officers in April 2025. The board feels "stale" and is looking for someone with strong leadership skills, fresh ideas, and willing to jump in and help us make positive changes. President (Duties) The President shall supervise the affairs, perform all duties, and preside at all meetings of the members, and is, ex officio, a member of all standing committees of Orange Art Association. Background Board meetings are held most months on the second Monday around 6pm. Meetings are currently in-person. No meetings are held January, July, or August. Most meetings last 1 hour. The member meeting including artist demo and member art contest starts at 7pm, immediately after the board meeting. March Guest Pass I invite you to join us as our guest at our next (March 10th or April 14th) member meeting and artist demo from 7pm-9pm. Just show up and let the person at the check-in table know you are a guest of Amber. Membership Chair The Membership Chair shall encourage growth of Orange Art Association and maintain accurate membership records. Provide an up-to-date membership list with correct email addresses and dues paid status to the Newsletter Chair each month. Brainstorm with fellow board members and membership committee to design and implement new and creative ways to bring in new members and maintain current membership.
