Volunteer Outreach/Donation Manager

CAPES Day School is seeking a passionate and dedicated volunteer to serve as our Outreach/Donation Manager. This vital role will focus on building relationships within the community to secure donations that directly support our mission of providing exceptional education and therapy services to children with special needs. About the Role: As our Volunteer Outreach/Donation Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the sustainability of our programs. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to secure a variety of donations, including: Financial Donations: Cultivate relationships with individuals, businesses, and foundations to solicit monetary contributions. In-Kind Donations: Secure donations of supplies (e.g., educational materials, art supplies, office supplies), equipment, and other needed items. Food Donations: Arrange for donations of food for student meals, snacks, or special events. Volunteer Support: Recruit and coordinate volunteers for various school activities and fundraising events. Responsibilities: Identify and research potential donors (individuals, businesses, community groups). Develop and execute outreach plans to cultivate relationships and solicit donations. Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential donors. Maintain accurate records of donations and donor interactions. Acknowledge and thank donors for their contributions. Represent the school professionally at community events and networking opportunities. Collaborate with school staff to identify needs and prioritize donation requests. Manage and coordinate volunteer recruitment and scheduling. Qualifications: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse individuals and organizations. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Self-motivated and able to work independently. Passion for supporting children with special needs. Experience in fundraising, sales, marketing, or public relations is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace. This vital role will focus on building our online presence and engaging our community to support our mission of providing exceptional education and therapy services to children with special needs. This role will also support our outreach and donation efforts by highlighting our needs and impact. About the Role: As our Volunteer Social Media Manager, you will be the voice of our organization online. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a social media strategy to raise awareness, engage our community, and support our fundraising and outreach goals. This includes promoting our need for donations (money, supplies, food, and volunteers). Responsibilities: Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with our organizational goals. Create and curate engaging content (text, images, videos) for various social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn). Schedule and publish content regularly, ensuring consistent posting and optimal reach. Monitor social media channels for mentions, comments, and messages, and respond promptly and professionally. Engage with followers and build relationships with our online community. Track and analyze social media metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with other team members (e.g., outreach/donation manager) to promote fundraising initiatives, events, and volunteer opportunities. Highlight stories of impact and success from our students and programs. Research and stay up-to-date on social media trends and best practices. In one memorable instance, we were celebrating a student's birthday. As the group of students

and staff gathered around to sing "Happy Birthday," an unexpected moment unfolded. The

student, who is typically non vocal verbal, surprised everyone by joining in and singing along.

This breakthrough reminded us of the passion and purpose that drives our dedication to this

work. Moments like these fuel our belief in the potential of every individual, reaffirming the

significance of our efforts in fostering communication and growth.

We do this because every child deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential, regardless

of the challenges they face. We do this because we believe in the power of education to

transform lives. We do this because witnessing a non vocal verbal child sing "Happy Birthday" is
