We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to promoting diversity, inclusion, and academic excellence. Our STEM Club provides homeschooled and online middle and high school students with hands-on learning experiences in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, culminating in an annual Science Fair. We are seeking three volunteer STEM Club Advisors to guide and mentor students, facilitate club activities, and help nurture a love for STEM. Responsibilities: Oversee and support virtual club meetings. Help organize and judge the annual Science Fair. Facilitate discussions on STEM careers, innovations, and challenges. Encourage collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving. Time Commitment: 3-4 Hours Per Month Monthly Volunteer Tasks ✅ Attend Club Meetings (1 Hour) - Join a biweekly virtual meeting (optional to attend both). Share insights, answer student questions, or simply observe. ✅ Support a STEM Activity or Challenge - Help plan, facilitate, or judge a hands-on STEM project, experiment, or coding challenge. ✅ Mentor & Engage in Discussions - Participate in our online community by answering student questions, sharing STEM resources, or offering project feedback. ✅ Science Fair Planning - Assist with organizing, judging, or providing feedback on student projects in preparation for the Annual Science Fair (Spring 2026). Flexible Participation Volunteers can rotate responsibilities based on their availability. If unable to attend meetings, advisors can still contribute via asynchronous mentoring (responding to student questions in our online community). Ideal Candidates: Background in STEM fields (education, research, engineering, coding, healthcare, etc.). Passion for mentoring and inspiring young learners. Comfortable working in a virtual setting. Do you want to help shape the future of young innovators by helping give them the tools and skills they need to succeed? We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit seeking a Volunteer AutoCAD Instructor to teach an Introduction to AutoCAD course for homeschooled and online high school students. This course is designed to promote college and career readiness by providing students with foundational skills in computer-aided design (CAD) and exposing them to careers in engineering, architecture, and design. The instructor will guide students through basic AutoCAD tools, functions, and applications, helping them develop technical proficiency while reinforcing mathematical concepts relevant to CAD design. Students and the instructor will have access to an AutoCAD license. Instructor Responsibilities: Lead weekly live online lessons (45 minutes to 1 hour) on a set day/time of your choice, Monday through Friday between 10AM and 6pm starting early August until mid December 2025. Teach basic AutoCAD skills. Develop a final project assignment for students to complete. Assign homework and classwork as needed to reinforce learning. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit seeking a passionate volunteer to teach an African language (Swahili, Zulu, Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, Khoisan, or Afrikaans) to homeschooled and online middle and high school students. This class aims to expose students to the beauty and diversity of African languages and cultures, empowering Black identity and fostering positive ideas around Africa, its people, and their rich histories. The class will be open to students from various backgrounds, and the ultimate goal is to promote cross-cultural understanding and appreciation. Class Structure: Commitment: 4 months (August - December) Class Frequency: One live class per week (preferably two) via online video conferencing, held Monday through Friday between 10am and 5pm (teacher's choice, but each live class must occur on the same day) Assignments: Teachers will assign assignments to students through the teacher's portal to support student learning Why Volunteer?
