Mission Statement
Aim High Dance Academy’s aim is to make sports and art accessible and affordable for all, supporting young people’s mental health and wellbeing, increasing access to opportunity and decreasing obesity, working at grassroots within the community. Plus healthy eating support and distribution of food support to families. We provide services for all ages, cultures and lifestyles from preschool to over 60 groups however the majority of our services are focused towards 3-25 years old. We aim for all our services to be inclusive and see many unrepresented communities benefit from our services. Our member diversity statistics are summarised below:10% those with disabilities, 75% female, 78% those from global majority backgrounds,18% those with unspecified pronouns.
Description
Aim High Dance Academy was established in 2010 offering a range of dance and gymnastic educational services, which over the years has expanded to cover a wide variety of sport, art and cultural activities plus healthy eating. The academy offers: Weekly dance classes, After-School Clubs, Breakfast Clubs, Lunchtime Clubs and PPA cover, school holiday workshops, holiday camps and birthday parties, career mentoring classes, CPD for teachers and professional qualifications, healthy eating workshops and healthy week celebrations, award showcases, dance-a-thons, work experience placements, apprenticeships and internships providing many different exit route opportunities including professional qualifications.
