Mission Statement
"Illuminating hope and healing for all who struggle with behavioral health issues by providing compassionate and caring peer counseling, recovery coaching and resource navigation services that promote individual recovery."
Description
Puget Sound Peer (PSP) is a grassroots organization founded to build community power through advocacy, peer counseling, leadership development, and collaborative partnerships. Our mission is to uplift marginalized communities, particularly low-income and BIPOC individuals, by providing peer-driven support and connecting them to essential resources and services.
With deep roots in South King County, PSP has partnered with local organizations to create community-centered initiatives. Our programs include peer counseling, workshops, and advocacy campaigns aimed at empowering individuals to take charge of their lives and become community leaders.
We are proud to be expanding our reach through the launch of the Peer Advocacy and Leadership Academy (PALA), a program designed to train individuals as certified peer counselors and empower them to create real change in their communities. Volunteers will play a vital role in helping us sustain and grow these impactful programs!
