Description
Camp RISE was founded by two therapists-a speech-language pathologist and an occupational therapist-who recognized the need for a safe, nurturing environment for children with special exceptionalities during the summer months. Their goal was to create a camp where these children could thrive, grow, and connect meaningfully.
Camp RISE offers a variety of enriching activities tailored to the unique needs of our campers, including:
- Pet Therapy: Encouraging relaxation, emotional connection, and joy.
- Communication Groups: Building social skills and enhancing communication.
- Motor Skills Groups: Developing physical coordination and strength.
- Water Play: Providing sensory experiences and fun.
- Visits from Community Helpers: Introducing campers to inspiring professionals like firefighters, police officers, and healthcare workers.
- And More: Always creating memorable, impactful experiences.
The most rewarding part of Camp RISE is the heartfelt gratitude we receive from parents. Knowing their children with special exceptionalities are in safe, caring hands gives them peace of mind. This trust and appreciation affirm the importance of what we do every day.
