I am on SSDI permanently due to a stroke 20 years ago when I was only 34. I walk with a cane most times but not all of the time. I can't use my right arm. When most people meet me they don't know why I have to use a cane. Since my stroke I've earned two BA degrees, one of which is in education. Since then I have worked as a substitute teacher, developed and taught a math program for advanced 6th grade math students and a math program for remedial students as well. I can easily teach more than math. I believe that everyone deserves an education because with education comes opportunity. People they need the education and knowledge that can help make things happen for them. I know I can help them with that.
