Mission Statement

Freedom’s Wings Arizona is a non-profit organization run by and for people with disabilities, both physical and developmental. It shall be the purpose of Freedom’s Wings Arizona to bring the world of soaring to persons with disabilities, both physical and developmental by: - Exposing persons with disabilities, both physical and developmental to the soaring experience thru Therapeutic Recreation, by providing demo flights at no cost to the individuals - Teaching qualified persons with disabilities, to soar. With the options to solo, attain a private glider license or beyond. - Providing training for instructors, ground crew, and flying students - Spreading the thrill of soaring like an eagle to many people in the State of Arizona - Encouraging other clubs and commercial glider operations to equip some of their sailplanes with hand controls to spread the availability for persons with disabilities to soar.
